Hi, I’m Tammy — retired military wife, empty nester, new Gma, professor, travel coach, and founder of TraVida. For me, travel is personal. It’s been a way to heal after loss, a classroom for students exploring leadership across Europe, and a space to connect on mother-daughter cruises.

Recently, someone asked me, “Where is your favorite place to go?” and I shared some of the favorite places I have been. Barcelona, Sitges, Lucca, Edinburgh, Alaska, and any cruise. Most of those favorite places are because of the experiences that I had. Barcelona - the majesty of La Sagrada Familia. Sitges - spending three days on the coast of Spain to wrap up a whirlwind three-week solo trip in Europe, not to mention the three-hour private cooking class I had because no one else signed up. Edinburgh - hearing bagpipes as I left the station, or taking an Outlander tour, and my picture in front of Lollybroch (IYKYK). Alaska - realizing you don't need to be in a church to feel the majesty of God (also felt that way at the Grand Canyon, and Niagara Falls). Cruises - taking both of my daughters on mother-daughter cruises when they each turned 21. 

The real truth, though, at least for me, is that my favorite place is the one I haven’t been to yet.

Hi! I’m Cari — a wife, girl-mom, dog mom, former teacher, and full-time believer in pixie dust. As someone who’s been traveling since before  I was born, I knew it would be a tradition I would proudly pass on to my daughter, who took her first trip before she could even sit up on her own.

I am a total theme-park-loving mama who knows firsthand just how precious (and sometimes chaotic!) family travel can be. Becoming a mom completely changed the way I see vacations: they’re not just trips… they’re memory-making moments we don’t get back.

Before becoming a travel agent, I worked in attractions at Universal Orlando Resort and Busch Gardens Williamsburg, and today I’m a proud Walt Disney World Resort Passholder and SeaWorld Orlando Passholder. Theme parks are truly my comfort zone — from stroller-friendly routes to the best quiet spots for feeding or breaks, I’ve lived it.

As a stay-at-home mom, I understand the mental load that comes with planning a vacation for your family. The nap schedules, the packing lists, the “will my baby actually enjoy this?” worries — I get it. That’s exactly why I love helping families create trips that feel magical and manageable.

I plan every itinerary the way I’d plan my own: thoughtful pacing, realistic expectations, and plenty of room for fun.
